I thought we were going to an Art Festival...of course I wanted to go! When we arrived in town there was no art fair, but there were tons of cigarette and small hydroplane speed boats. It was a beautiful day on the water with great people watching, good food, fast boats, big freighters and loud music. We had a great day!

Exploring the Thumb
We drove to the tip of the thumb and worked our way down. Caseville was perfect. The sand was warm and the water was as cold and shallow as I remember it as a kid. The sunsets were amazing.
Port Austin was another spot I was anxious to revisit. The ride along the coast was beautiful. Point Austin waterfront is amazing. The walk along the breakfront was fun. I wish I would have brrought my binoculars.
have heard so much good stuff about Bay City and was anxious to see
it for myself. The Water Street Waterfall Park was neat. The day was perfect. We had lunch on the water and it was fun to watch the sailboat school students learn to sail. We spent quite a bit of time in Di's Rubber Stamp Store and I really allowed her to pick my brain. There was an awesome Architectual Salvage Shop with three floors that we spent quite a bit of time in. Of course I took a few pictures!A Day in Frankenmuth
We took a day trip to Frankenmuth with Ken's mom while we were in Michigan. It was always a favorite place of mine. The town is quaint and beautiful, and the chicken and noodles are out of this world.
More Family and Friends
I love spending time with my family. I was able to hook up with my Aunt Glenda and Uncle Bill (turns out they live about 5 minutes from Ken's mom), Aunt Lillian, Cousins Don and Sally while we were on the East side.
There is nothing like old friends. Dwight and Annmarie Lindstrom had us over for dinner and they invited Danny and Irene Ogle to join us. The guys and I went to h school together. I have known Dwight since kindergarten, and he was Ken's best man at our wedding over 40 years ago. The six of us had a great time...it was almost like no time had passed since we had seen each other last. There was lots to catch up on. We'll probably meet up in Florida over the winter.
